Abstract: Objective: To establish a method for the determination of the contents of sulfate groups in polysulfated heparin sodium. Methods: The contents of sulfate groups were determined by converting the Na+ of polysulfated heparin sodium into H+ with cation exchange resin and titrating with sodium hydroxide. The titration end-point was ascertained by variance of conductivity and the results were rectified by cetylpyridinium chloride. Results: The average recovery was 100. 18% ,RSD = 3. 67% . Conclusion: This mthod was simple,reproducible and accurate.
