Progress on Human aldehyde dehydrogenase II and its agonists

  • The aldehyde dehydrogenase II (ALDH2) could act as both esterase and dehydrogenase. The improvement of ALDH2 activity might reduce the damage caused by alcohol and ischemia and avoid the occurrence of some certain cancers. The outline of ALDH2 and its agonists were summarized concisely through literature analysis, collation and induction in this paper.

Abstract: The aldehyde dehydrogenase II (ALDH2) could act as both esterase and dehydrogenase.
