Abstract:
From the leaves of Salix matsdana,three known compounds,apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranuronide(Ⅰ),luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranuronide(Ⅱ),were isolated at first in the Salix spp.Other compound(Ⅲ),was isolated in the leaves of Salix matsdana and proposed as p-phenol-methyl-O-β-D-glycoside, Furthermore, we studied on effect of arachidonic acid metabolism in rat platelets by compoundⅠ、Ⅱ and Ⅲ with radio-chromatography and found that these compounds can significantly inhibit the production of 12-HETE(12-hydroxy-5,8,10,14-eicosatetraenoic acid), which can induced allergy and atheroselero-sis.The production of apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranuroide being hydrolyzed was apigenin, which can inhibit not only 12-HETE but also TXB2(thromboxane B2) which can induce platelet aggregation.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To isolate and purify a new protein, nominated as NV-PP-4 from the anti-inflammatory of Nidus Vespae and study its characteristics.METHODS It was purified by Sephadex G-50 chromatography, followed by DEAE-Sephadex A50 anion exchange chromatography, hydroxyapatite column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography, then it was characterized by HPLC, HPCE, amino acid analysis. RESULTS HPLC and IEF-HPCE showed that it was homogenous both in molecular weight and electric charge, its molecular weight was determined to be 8.711KD by HPLC. Its PI was estimated to be 1.79 by IEF-HPCE. Amino acid analysis showed that it consists of 87 amino acids and it was rich in Gly、Asp、Pro、Glu. CONCLUSION NV-Pp-4 was a new protein purified from the water extract of Nidus Vespae.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To obtain enriched germanium ginseng cell(GSC)and to detect the.Distribution of germanium in GSC.METHODS Enriched GSC was examined by micellar solubilizing spectrophotometry.RESULTS GSC contains the highest(11.18%)germanium in 5ppm enriched germanium MS cultrue medium. Germanium largely conjugated with protein and polysaccharide and it mostly conjugated with protein. CONCLUSION GeO2 transforming ratio decrease along with increase the concentration of germanium MS culture medium, which proved GSC can absorb germanium and it s a bearer for GeO2 transforming organic germanium.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To screen antitumour medicine from 110 Tibetan medicines.METHODS Dried plant materials were ground and were extracted by petrol ether and 90% ethanol separately.The 90% ethernal extracts were used to test cultured five human tumour cells: BC1, Lu1, Co12, KB and LNCaP and one rat tumour cell ASK. RESULTS Five Tibetan medicines were found to display cytotoxic effects in cultured tumor cells. CONCLUSION The result would be used as reference for further Tibetan medicine research.

Abstract:
Antialergic activities of aqueous extracts of 11 kinds of teas in Yunnan were investigated by measuring their inhibitory effects on hyaluronidase from bovine testis in vitro. The results showed that the teas produced in Yunnan had strong antiallergic effect.Tiancha (Lithocarpus polystachyus) in Yunnan showed stronger antiallergic effect than Tiancha(Guangxi). Phenolic substances in Tiancha were founded to be responsible for antiallergic activity.The ethyl acetate fraction of Tiancha had a very strong antiallergic activity.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To study the difference in quality between granulated model and traditional prepared herbal medicine in small pieces METHOD Chose Astragalus,Crataegus and Armeniaca amara to compare,respectively, the quantities of the main components in granulated model with those in traditional prepared way RESULT The quantities of the main components in Astragalus manufactured through two different ways were quite close to each other As for Crataegus and Armeniaca amara, the quantities of the main components in granulated model were a bit less than those prepared in traditional way CONCLUSION The quality of some herbal medicine in granulated model is a little lower than those prepared in a traditional way.

Abstract:
The scavenging capacities on radicals(O2-,OH+,H2O2)by meOH-extracts of Rhizoma Belamcandae and Rhizoma Iris and compounds isolated from Rhizoma Belamcadae were determined by Chemiluminescence.The results indicated that meOH-extracts of Rhizoma Belamcandae and Rhizoma Iris and compounds isolated from Rhizoma Belamcadae have significant scavenging effects on radicals(O2-,OH+,H2O2).

Abstract:
AIM Build up the stanndard of control of connect bone tablet's quility on identification of microscopic character and qualitative analysis of chemical composition.METHOD utilized some microscopic characters to identify and define the main drugs in the tablet. used the method of TLC to identify the chemical compositions of Dang Gui, Gan Cao and Mo Yao. RESULT Results of identification were similar on the microscopic character and TLC. CONCLUSION The results show that the methods are easy to operate, accurate and easy to repeat. They can provide scientific basis for control of the tablet's quality.

Abstract:
OBJECT How to influence constituents of the volatile oil of Herba pog ostemonis owing to different collection time.METHODS used by GC/MS combinati on technology.RESULTS The averagy dry weight of single plant(i.e.output)increase gradually from July to next April,the content of uolatile oil is highest in November.The contents of Pogostemone in the leaf oil are higher in July and September,then decrease gradually with growth time.Pachouli alco hol is higher in September,October and November,lower in other months.The contents of Pogostemone in stem oil are higher in July,October and next Janu ary,lowest in November.The content variation of Pachouli alcohol in stem oil are not obvious in all growth time,higher slightly only after November.Other compounds are not showed their variation law.CONCLUSION the quality of Herba Pogostemonis collected in November is higher if the content of volatile oil is used as a standard of qualify evaluation,the result is in accordance with traditional coll ection experience.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of GFA on neonatal rat myocytes in cultures with oxygen and glucose deprivation(CMOGD).METHODS By taking cultured neonatal rat myocytes with oxygen and glucose deprivation as ischemia-mimic condition of body and the Ca2+-antagonist Verapamil as control,the leakage of lactic dehydrogenase(LDH) and the production of malondialdehyde(MDA) were investigated. RESULT GFA 30ug/ml suppessed the lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage and the production of malondialdehyde (MDA) in CMOGD (P<0.05). The effects on LDH and MDA were concentration-dependant. During the experiment GFA was compared with Verapamil, the traditional Ca--antagonist. It was found the GFA had similar function with Verapamil. CONCLUSION GFA has a cytoprotection on CMOGD,Possibaly acts as an antiperoxidant and/or inhibiter of Ca2+ influx.
