  • Objective To objective reflect and reveal current situation and work mode of the pharmacy department in third class A hospitals in shanghai. Methods Through the questionnaire survey and on-site interviews , data about staffing , content and quantity of operations were observed and collected to describe and compare by statistical methods . Results The work mode of pharmacy department was still the traditional support model-based drug supplying, about 60% of the staff of pharmacy were engaged in drug supplying . Less than 10% of the staff were engaged in clinical pharmacy. Pharmacy information technology and automation construction had been strengthened. Attention had been paid to pharmaceutical research. The research papers increased year by year. Conclusion The work mode of pharmacy department was in the blossom which was transforming from drug supplying to clinical pharmacy.
