  • Heavy metals in soil will affect the growth,development,multiplication of plants.Meanwhile,the plants that grow under heavy metal press can produce heavy metal tolerance and hyperaccumulation.This paper reviewed the impacts of heavy metal stress on the growth of medicinal plants and its machanism of tolerance and hyperaccumulation.The impacts of heavy metal tolerance and hyperaccumulation on the safety of traditional Chinese medicine were also reviewed.
