Abstract

OBJECTIVE To prepare and establish quality standards of cefoperazone ointment. METHODS UV-spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of cefoperazone ointment. RESULTS The absorbance at 298nm showed a linear relationship in range of 0.8～4.8ug·mL^-1, with mean recovery of 99.3%, RSD of 0.32%. CONCLUSIONS The method is accurate, simple, rapid and can be used to determine the content of cefoperazone ointment.
