Rapidly-disintegrating tablet:a new solid dosage form

Abstract: OBJECTIVE To introduce a new solid dosage form,a rapidly disintegrating tablet,which can be rapidly disintegrated and dissolved in the mouth within 15 second without drinking.METHODS Reviewed the relative articals in these years.RESULTS Among the articals,Low substituted hydroxypropylcellulose,microcrystalline cellulose and crosslinked sodium carboxymethyl cellulose or treated agar were used as disintegrants.Erythritol was selected to enhance palatability of the tablet.CONCLUSION It is necessary and practical to develop rapidly disintegrating tablet.
