  • Objective To improve the quality standards of Hypericum ascyron. Methods Hypericum ascyron was identified by microscopic observation and TLC method.The moisture, total ash,acid-insoluble ash and alcohol soluble extract were assayed following the procedures stated in Chinese Pharmacopoeia.The contents were determined by HPLC. Results Identification methods for Hypericum ascyron with microscopy,TLC and HPLC were established.The limits of moisture,total ash and alcohol soluble extract were defined. Conclusion This study provides scientific data for the quality control of Hypericum ascyron.
